Jeff Swickard is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and award-winning businessman. With a dual degree in Marketing and Business Management from the University of Oregon he has accumulated over 20 years of experience as an owner of a variety of businesses, including award winning privately held businesses recognized multiple years running by the Austin Business Journal, Puget Sound Business Journal Fastest Growing Companies, and A+ Better Business Bureau ratings. Over his career he has completed 21 transactions in telecom and consumer products. Jeff has a track record of growing sales by identifying growth opportunities and executing on these opportunities to the benefit of the investment while increasing transactional customer satisfaction.
In his early career, he completed the Management Training programs while employed with AT&T, and worked at US West prior to starting and running Tel West as President/CEO in 1998. Tel West was named the third fastest growing private company while based in Seattle, WA. In the years since its inception, he consolidated numerous other niche telecommunications companies. Tel West, moving its headquarters to Austin, Texas, became a facilities-based Internet, data and voice communications provider that specialized in telecommunication services. The company's local network presence spanned six major metropolitan areas including Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Fort Worth, and Corpus Christi. Tel West continued to see tremendous success resulting in additional growth awards throughout its market. Tel West Network Services Corporation is currently a part of the TelePacific family of companies headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Jeff continues to support and seek out new opportunities in mid-market businesses that can benefit from his years of experience and proven success record. He currently invests his energies in the automotive sector.
In 2014, he purchased Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville in Oregon. At the time of purchase it was the smallest of three Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the Portland Metro, selling 30 new cars monthly and employing a staff of 30. They have achieved the status of #1 Mercedes-Benz sales volume in all of Oregon every consecutive month since his involvement in May 2014. Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville has received Leadership Bonus level every consecutive month since meeting the qualification status. In 2015, they received the highest and most prestigious Mercedes-Benz "Best of The Best” award given to the top national dealerships. July 2016 Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville’s Commercial Van sales department, after only 7 months from forming the Commercial Van franchise, was the #1 Mercedes-Benz Commercial Van dealership in the entire Western Region. Today, Mercedes-Benz of Wilsonville employs a staff of 100 and averages 100 new car sales monthly.
In addition to his business accolades, his personal focus is helping those without a voice in animal welfare. Charitable contributions are at the forefront of his companies resulting in over $90,000 in 2014, $140,000 in 2015 and $85,000 2016 YTD to organizations such as Austin Pets Alive, San Antonio Pets Alive, Oregon Dog Rescue and The Pixie Project. His companies have championed a variety of charitable organizations through volunteer work, local sponsorships and car donations supporting Educational Museums, local Veterans & Armed Forces, Wounded Warriors, Lake Oswego Arts & Humanities, Oregon International Ballet Academy, Evans Scholar, American Breast Cancer, Children’s Cancer, Dress for Success, Wilsonville Little League, various High School programs, and numerous other local organizations.
